"Diplomatic Perspective created The U.S. Passport Project ™ which targets high schools schools and communities across the U.S. My life was positively impacted by my studying abroad experience. We are excited to provide a project with strategy and actions that ensure American Citizens have access, equity, and are included within our interconnected world. Success is measured by increased participation of communities with low numbers of having passports and therefore participating in public, cultural, and citizen diplomacy."

AYANNA DAWKINS, CO-FOUNDER
President & CEO, Diplomatic Perspective
Our Goal is to Provide 1 Million Students with U.S. Passports.

Problem
Many American students and families face barriers to international travel due to the cost of passports and limited access to resources. Without a passport, opportunities for:

-
Studying abroad
-
Engaging in cultural exchange
-
Participating in global leadership programs

…remain out of reach.

As a result, large numbers of young people grow up without access to international experiences that can shape their futures and prepare them for leadership in an interconnected world

Solution
As an organization, we envision equipping 1 million American students with passports.

Implementation
1. High School: 6-month program for 11th and 12th-grade high school students Diplomatic Leader Development Program (DLDP)

2. HBCUs: U.S. Department of State Citizen Diplomacy Action Fund Project and now Diplomatic Perspective Program, REACH: HBCU Global Institute.

3. Community Passport Drives
About The Global Passport Project™ .
Through 3 main programs, students, their families, and communities will be provided U.S. Passports by Diplomatic Perspective FREE of charge. The price of a U.S. Passport is currently $135 if over the age of 16. Since a U.S. Passport lasts 10 years, we encourage graduates of the DLDP program, participants in REACH: HBCU Global, or attendees of a community passport drive to take this opportunity to explore the world.
Timeline
