Ayanna is a native of Milwaukee, WI who received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She eagerly joined the Microsoft team in July of 2017 as a strong advocate for encouraging inclusion and the empowerment of people who do not have access to technology and the opportunity it offers. Over the last few years of her professional career, Ayanna has developed a keen eye for customer needs by working diligently to establish a detailed knowledge base regarding productivity and collaboration. Her acquired knowledge and skills have allowed the opportunity to recognize the greater business value of the use of technology and formulate the perfect customer solutions.

Ayanna M. Dawkins is an Education Account Executive at Microsoft based in Washington D.C., with the goal to enable digital transformation strategies to grow, evolve and meet the changing needs of the industry by maintaining and improving education. She is aligned to US Regulated Industries supporting the higher education and K-12 in Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

During Ayanna’s college career, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain. While in Spain she traveled to over 20 countries throughout South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. She grew a love and appreciation for culture, language, and understanding. Once returning to the United States, she dedicated any available free time to learning about others through volunteering, traveling abroad, and educating herself on international affairs. She found and joined programs dedicated to all three of these activities including Women Advancing Peace and Security, the Brookings Institution, and Young Professionals in Foreign Policy, where she met the co-founder of Diplomatic Perspective. Currently, she is a graduate student at American University's School of International Affairs studying International Relations. Ayanna is dedicated to making a difference and strives to make an impact through Diplomatic Perspective.
